The Family Altar book cover

Every home was meant to be a place of prayer.

Somewhere along the way, the altar in many homes grew cold. The mornings filled up. The evenings scattered. The fire that once gathered a family went quiet.

The Family Altar is a thirty-day journey back. Each day pairs Scripture with a prophetic prayer and declaration, then a Digging Deeper moment to reflect and build a true house of prayer — short enough to keep, deep enough to change a household. It is written for parents standing in the gap, for the one praying alone for everyone else, and for any believer ready to tend the fire again.

Thirty days contending for protection, provision, peace, purpose, destiny, breakthrough, and legacy.

Inside the journey

Four weeks. One rekindled fire.

The thirty days move in a deliberate arc — from rebuilding the altar to declaring over your legacy. Here is the shape of the journey.

Week One · Days 1–7

Returning to the Altar

Rebuild what was torn down. Clear the ground, light the lamp, and make prayer a place in your home again.

Foundation · Consecration · First fire
Week Two · Days 8–14

Consecrating the Household

Anoint the doorposts. Cover each room, each name, each season — and set your home apart for the Lord.

Covenant · Cleansing · Covering
Week Three · Days 15–21

Standing in the Gap

Intercede for every member by name. Pray the prodigal home and contend for the ones not yet at the table.

Intercession · Warfare · Mercy
Week Four · Days 22–30

Prophetic Declaration & Legacy

Decree over generations. Speak the promises forward and leave a perpetual fire for the ones who come after.

Declaration · Blessing · Legacy

About the author

Apostle Sathena Solomon

Apostle Sathena Solomon is a wife, mother, teacher, and intercessor. Alongside her husband, Apostle L. Andre Hill — Overseer of Exousia Global Fellowship — she serves as Co-Overseer of the apostolic and prophetic hub, ministering across the Cibolo–San Antonio area and beyond. Her heart is for raising believers and households who pray.

The Family Altar grew out of that calling — and out of her own home — a desire to put a tool in the hands of parents and praying believers who long to rebuild the altar in their own homes, one day at a time.
